A Little
About Me
I have 28 years of experience producing a national magazine,
while also performing freelance graphic design services.
I am recently retired and returning to action by resuming
graphic design and production services, focusing on personal
attention and affordability.
This is a single, scrolling web page. Please scroll down to view some of my work samples.

Books
I’ve produced a couple of books for the National Education Association. This one was a lighthearted humorous paperback where teachers submitted amusing anecdotes from young students. I hired a 10-year-old daughter of a friend of mine to create the illustrations for the cover and throughout.
THE OTHER BOOK WAS A MUCH MORE SERIOUS AND DRY TECHNICAL PUBLICATION. NEEDLESS TO SAY, THIS ONE WAS MORE FUN! I’VE ALSO CREATED COVER DESIGNS FOR A COUPLE OF OTHER BOOKS.
Brochures
This simple brochure was created for a non-profit on a limited budget.
Multiple copies were printed in grayscale on a black-and-white laser printer.
Business Cards
Covers

convention.
Fliers
Announcement and call to action to apply for a scholarship to pursue an education in the composites industry.
Forms
These forms were created for the National Association of Landscape Professionals (then known as “PLANET”). The first form was designed to gauge interest in a new program. The second was a request for ideas to be presented at an annual industry convention. Both forms were mailed to members.
Image Editing
I’ve done countless image edits and makeovers. In the example below, the original magazine cover is on the left. The version on the right was created by taking separate photos of different people and seamlessly manipulating them into a non-layered/flattened image to create a new and wholly credible version.
Insert Cards
Bind-in cards are stitched into magazines for readers to tear out, while blow-in cards are loosely inserted and often fall out onto the floor for unsuspecting readers. These are opportunities for publishers to, for example, acquire new subscription renewals.
